Every Friday in our special assembly we play and sing along to Proud by Heather Small. The staff have made a special video for all of our families to watch and sing along to during these difficult times. We hope that it brings you joy!
CORONAVIRUS March 2020
Following the directive from the DFE Denfield Park Primary School closed to pupils on Friday 21st March 2020 in response to the COVID-19 crisis. The school is currently providing limited childcare spaces for identified key workers and vulnerable pupils. Teachers are providing work for pupils to support learning at home during the enforced closure. Parents and carers can access work for their children via the secure area of the school website using the log in they have been provided by the school. Additional links, ideas, activities and resources are provided on the school Face Book pages. Parents and carers are encouraged to keep in touch with their child's class teacher via email, the majority of staff are working from home.
In the NEWSLETTERS section there are copies of the letters that we have sent to parents and carers about the possibility of us re-opening in June.
The DFE have provided a list of websites which can support home learning, see the link below. The latest guidance from the DFE for parents and carers can also be found below.
Safeguarding during school closure.
A copy of our safeguarding policy is available under the Key Information section. The principles within it apply during the Covid-19 situation but we have produced an annex to the policy which can be found below. In normal circumstances if parents have safeguarding concerns we would expect them to report them to class teachers in the first instance, to the Head Teacher Mrs Griffiths, to Mrs Maltby Smith the Family Liaison Teacher or to Miss Humphries the Early Years Lead or to Mrs Quincey the Deputy Head.
During the Covid school closure, a Designated safeguarding person may be contacted at the school site between the hours of 8.30am and 3.30pm using the number 01933 355961.
Staff can be contacted via email if there are safeguarding concerns out of school hours on the following addresses:
Mrs Griffiths: email@example.com
Mrs Maltby Smith: firstname.lastname@example.org
Miss Humphries: email@example.com
Any urgent or immediate concerns should be reported to MASH on : 0300 126 1000
