Learning and Growing Together
The internet is a valuable tool that helps us learn, communicate, and stay connected with friends and family. It can support education, provide entertainment, and allow people to explore new ideas and opportunities. However, while the internet offers many benefits, it is also important to recognise that it can sometimes expose users to risks such as cyberbullying, inappropriate content, and unsafe communication. Everyone should take care when using the internet and always think carefully about their online behaviour to help keep themselves and others safe.
E-safety is an important part of safeguarding within schools and organisations. While risks online cannot always be completely prevented, educating young people and staff about responsible and respectful internet use helps everyone make safer and healthier decisions online.
If you or someone you know is worried about child exploitation, online protection, or any internet safety issue, concerns can be reported through the CEOP Safety Centre. Parents and carers also play an important role in helping children stay safe online by discussing internet use at home, setting appropriate boundaries, and encouraging open conversations about online experiences.Schools, parents, carers, and students must work together to promote positive online behaviour and ensure that technology is used safely, responsibly, and respectfully.
