Grammar and Punctuation
Through out the year the children are encouraged to apply skills they are learning to their independent work. Children will be learning to write sentences using capital letters and full stops as well as joining some sentences using 'when', 'if' and 'because'. They will be encouraged to apply prefixes and suffixes and will learn about these during the year.
We love to show work that children have completed at home and would encourage that if your child completes a picture, maybe they can write a sentence or two to go with it using the sounds they can hear and their fred fingers to help.
